Apple Pumpkin Dog Cookies
Not sure if you know or not, but I absolutely ADORE dogs. I think they are one of God’s greatest gifts to us. Seriously. Our family has a little rescue named Penny (well, she’s kinda all mine), and our oldest son got a Pittie puppy while in college, and we kept him this semester while he traveled a lot for baseball. Of course we fell in love with him, so might just have to arm wrestle Aaron for him when he goes back this fall.
They’ve been slightly spoiled during this quarantine, and today was no exception. I decided to make them some homemade treats with two of my favorite ingredients: apples and pumpkin. They were a hit!
Here is the easiest recipe EVER:
- 2 1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup finely diced apple
- 1/2 cup pumpkin
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup water
Mix all ingredients together. Roll the dough out and use a cookie cutter to cut shapes. Transfer to parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes. Cool completely before sharing with your fur babies.
